108 yrs maple pot

i go the wood from my saw mill guy the other day. it came out of a very old Tobacco barn about 2 hrs from me. he was tell me it was maple and the wood is around 108 years old.not fancy wood BUT turn out very good. just though it was pretty cool to turn something that old. this is the same board the call came from...thanks brian

Good job. I always find it fascinating to watch some old weathered wood planed or cut open to reveal the "new" wood inside. It is almost always nicer than real new wood. Good to have a history as well!
