Kickback with Splitter Installed?

Anyone out there that has experienced kickback on their table saw even with a splitter installed? Or if not you personally, please provide links to other threads or sites discussing this situation. Thanks!!

The "old" splitter/guard that everyone removes because they are a POS, or the "new" close to the blade splitter?

I have gotten kickback on the old design, since the wood has to travel all the way to the end of the table before it reaches the splitter. The new TS with the close to the blade splitter/riving knife, no.
