Q on a CL listing: DW735

A guy is listing a DW735 planer for $450 including Dust hose adapter, Dust ejection chute and folding infeed and outfeed tables. He claims usage of only one side of the original knives.

Is this a fair price? I was thinking of offering $400.

I think that is a little high, a new one is $500 but you have to buy the tables but you also get the new blades.

400 is fair, with the tables, dust chute isnt worth much unless you need it.

I sold my old one for $350. Depends on how bad you want it. If it were me I'd offer that and see if you can meet somewhere in the middle.

I paid $350 for mine, with a similar description. It looked completely new, and he had only used one side of the knives.

However, this was a few years ago, before they ramped up the retail price quite a bit.

I sold mine about a month ago with the tables, one-side sharp knives, with stand and mobile base for $325. I paid $320 new about 6 years ago.
