View Full Version : Brass Trumpet

I had a customer ask me to engrave a trumpet. It's made of brass and it seems to have a pretty thick clear coating to keep the brass shiny. So far I had no luck in getting an engraving on it. I tried Thermark, but the only thing that happened was, that the Thermark reacted a little bit with the coating and made a "hard to see, seethough" engraving.
Any idea is welcome :D Thanks

Those are typically engraved using the diamond drag method and a machine like a Newing-Hall with the power base.
Actually the Kirba which I believe is made down the road from you in Cologne is quite similar to the N-H machine.
