Vacuum Chucking Forces

Hi everybody,
Now that I have retired, I finally have time to set up a vacuum chucking system. I was curious about what forces would be applied to the wood, so I did the calculations. I thought that others would like to see the results.

Thanks Harvey! I have a couple of charts that I been using - one I did myself. Always good to have additional sources!

Hopefully folks will realize that the amount of hg applied and the size of the chuck can add up to some big numbers real quick! Just be aware of the pressures and be safe!
