Last of last years oak burl

Here is the last bowl I got out of last years oak burl. It was what was left from the large set I cored and finished last year. The burl in the bottom is in the shape of a double bit ax. It is 15" in dia. but rather shallow since it was just what was left from the blank after I cored the set off. The last bowl is from some hickory that I was given last year. It is the first hickory I've turned into a bowl and I think that I will keep an eye out for more in the future.
