I seem to remember a great solution for using narrow blades (1/4" and below) with euro guides on the BS that involves a piece of wood with a kerf cut in it held captive by the stock guides. I seem to remember a great picture in a thread too, but I can't seem to find it in any of my searches. Anyone remember this, or am I imagining this?

Doesn't sound familiar.
I use motor oil soaked oak guides instead of the metal ones or the pricier "Cool Blocks". For 1/4"-1/8" blades, I just set the guides far enough forward to capture the teeth and directly against the blade.

Glad to help. Nothing worse than an insane guy combined with a big new bandsaw!
