Not my kids.

Not my house.

Not my problem.

In this case I would not punish the kids because it had to be an adult that left the paint where the children could get to it. Valuable parental lesson. If it is accessible they will get into it.

Well, the parents were proud enough of it to take pictures. It must be a rental house.

Now that's funny, especially since it's not my house. You got to love the smile on the boy's face, he looks so proud of his painting skills.

Kudos to the parents for making light of a situation. I'm glad the kids are smiling. I think my initial reaction would have been much more grim, and I would have regretted - as I always do - yelling at the kids.

reminds me of when I fell off a ladder and a full can of oil-based paint fell after me, upside down on my head

A classic case off insult to injury.

Don't you kid yourself. The parents intend on getting even. The first time those kids bring "someone" home to meet Mom and Dad....guess which photo comes out first?

I know....I got even.....:D

Anyone get the idea these are habitually bad kids and that is lead paint..."accidentally" left out where they could find it?  ;)

That reminds me of the time when two of my granddaughters emptied 3-4 tubes of finger paint into our almost new carpeting and smeared it around. LOML was not happy.

We have a picture of my brother when he was maybe 18 mos and had taken his diaper off and fingerpainted the walls over his crib with his poop. He actually turned into an artist, so maybe it was a learning experience.

The real problem in the pic is that coffee table.

Too bad it was barely touched and easily cleaned.
