Before I completed the OP, I decided to do a search... The concensus seems to be Roo Glue... perhaps avalable at Woodcraft?

I didn't see Roo on their website, or Rockler either.... am I spelling that correctly? Is there a better name?

Tightbond has a melamine glue--at Woodcraft but not at Rocker web site. Any comments on that?

I am gluing melamine/particle board to plywood... will be a mel/particle/ply combination in the same joint.

Roo glue is the stuff. I imagine the titebond stuff is very similar if not identical. You can get either from custom service hardware as well as a bunch of other sources.

Another fan of Roo Clear. It'll glue a lot more than melamine. I glued a leather patch to a fabric sneaker. So far so good. It's somewhat water resistant but if it stays wet for an extended period, it'll fail. WoodCraft used to stock it. Since Titebond introduced their melamine glue Woodcraft seems to have dropped Roo. The cheapest source I know of is Western Tool.

The kicker with most sites is the shipping. Some fastenals carry it or can get it, but it seems not all do. Check Rooglue.com for distributors.

I use the Tite Bond brand on my melamine projects.Used some yesterday to may some angle braces for a shelf, that we will install Friday.
