Well, I finally managed to turn a successful BoxElder bowl that I can be proud of. This bowl is 4-1/4" by 9-3/4" and is sanded down to 2,000 grit and padded with clear shellac. The walls are about 3/16" thick. Thanks for looking.

Good one, Dennis! :) With those inclusions and such, I think I'd have had most of that bowl ALL over the shop! Well done, my friend.

Well John....let's just say, that the "pucker factor" was really HIGH while turning this bowl....especially near the finish cuts!!!

This stuff like to tare-out and requires a LOT of sanding. Took me several hours to get it "right".

Thanks for the kind comments and compliments.!!!

Dennis,

Mighty fine, mighty fine indeed! :D

Excellent form and finish, one for you to keep for yourself! :D

Any problems with chatter as you thinned it out?
