I own a Bosch 1617 EVS router that I have had for about 7 years. It had the corrosion problem that seems to be common on that router bought at that time.
I e-mailed Bosch about the problem. They immediately e-mailed me a prepaid mailing label. The router got to the service center on Thursday, I got it back today (Tuesday).
They replaced the housing, bearing and switch. No charge. It's like getting a brand new router.
That's great service. It seems that Bosch really stands behind there tools.
