Lionel - I hope you had a Happy Birthday!

Pretty cool idea on your bowl! Have not seen that style of carving yet! Very imaginative! Looking forward to your next turning!

Really nice - there is a similar one in Raffan's book, as I recall. Good form, and well executed carving.

Nice piece. I've done a few vases with sawtooth edges (2), but never bowls and never 3 edges. I like this one.

Lionel, I like what you did with the design! Very clean lines and the finish does not take away from its great craftsmanship.

Thanks for sharing,

Jeff

Excellent work on a very interesting design. One more thing to add to the "I have to try that" list.

nice bowl; looks like it's spinning, just sitting there.

Nice effect, I like the reveal on the outside and the set back on the inside. Kind of gives the effect of the bowl being three pieces wrapped together. Clean work, very pretty. Good selection of wood too. An overly strong grain would have competed with the design.

For some reason I didn't notice it at first - but the sawtooth edges continue all the way the bottom of the bowl. Much more difficult to do, and lends an extra quality of elegance. This is just looking better and better . . .
