Now, this 'got me ta thinkin' -- which is dangerous:eek:-- about the plastic set-up gauges sold by companies like Eagle America for similar bits, see:

The set-up blocks are relatively inexpensive -- US $9.99, but I have often wondered do they work? I realize that they are bit “specific” only to the manufacturer’s bit profile and probably do require some minor adjustment.
Seems like a good idea, but I ‘nevva’ really tried a lock miter bit. The only time I did, the set up process drove me crazy :(and I utilized another joint. And I do not know of anyone who tried or uses these set up blocks.
