Rough turned a couple Maple bowls and finish turned this one, it's about 9.5" X 5" and a hair ticker than 1/8".
It has one coat of polymerized tung oil on it so far, probably will get at least one more :)

I'll be traveling the next two days from early tomorrow morning, so responses from me might take some time :), thanks for looking :D

Very nice Leo, I'm always impressed with a bowl or form of that size being so thin walled!

Like the bowl Leo. Most I have seen of this shape either have the bark on them or are thicker. For whatever reason they seem to look somewhat clunky to me. This one doesn't give me that impression.:)

It's fantastic! It reminds me of a shell. 'Course that'd be one big bird.

Pretty wood. I agree that it is reminiscent of an eggshell.

Nice bowl, some bowls reach out on want you to touch them. This one does that.

Leo, the form on this one is PERFECT!! Simply a very smooth, flowing curve - some beautiful wood, as well. Very nice.

Very nice bowl Leo. Looks very thin and being Box Elder probably also light as a feather.

For some reason I looked at that and thought "bubble". Very impressive to me.

First of all, the piece is great. Very delicate.

Second, what is "Acer negundo"?

Just beautiful. I don't think I'd ever consider that "plain".

Great looking bowl and form. I just keep going back to the photos and admiring it. Everything about it is pleasing to the eye, somehow this one keeps calling me back to take one more look.....so I guess I will, again.

Very nice NE bowl Leo. Really like the smooth flow of the form and the finish is great at one coat!
