I searched but did not find any examples.

Anyone have some plans or finished items?

I'm looking for ideas for small movements.

Thanks for all suggestions.

Sorry I can't help. But if you can find a supplier for the guts, the part that makes the music, I'd be interested.

I haven't made one myself, but I have an older book which shows how one could be made. If you are interested, send me a pm and I will try to scan part of the article and email it to you. As far as the mechanisms, try Klockit. I have gotten a lot of clock inserts from them and they also sell small music movements. Got one from them for a music box for my wife quite a few years ago, before I started doing spinny stuff. It has worked quite well over the years.

You might look at this project on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS0kZDfIYzg&feature=PlayList&p=0ACF6C855C76C940&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=47
I have also found the guts at Rocklers.

I just got a music movement from

http://www.klockit.com/depts/MusicBoxMovementsKits/dept-10.html

It works well, and didn't cost very much.

Thanks to all.
Curt, others have provided sources for movements. Good luck.
