Tool/Wood gloat

Hey all,

Here is my craigslist gloat for the day:

-Craftsman Buffer (brand new in box)
-Groz 3 pc Caliper Set (brand new)
-4 Bowl blanks (9"x3" black walnut, 8"x3" pecan, 8"x3" curly maple and small unknown)
-4 Peppermill blanks (each 2.5"square x 12" including 2 black walnut and 2 unknown (maybe hickory)


All of this for $90. Not bad considering the buffer alone is $120 at Sears.:)

I'm nearing the end of my basement shop build so maybe I'll have some time to make something from these blanks!

Doug, I would say you scored on this one!! As you say, the buffer alone is worth the price, and those blanks aren't cheap either. Got some nice wood there!

John, That's what I figured. The buffer lists for $120, the calipers for $40 and $10-15 each for the blanks. The bowl blanks do have some nice color and figure.



Get the basement finished so we can see some turnings!

Steve, I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've got most of my power tools and cabinets in place. Now I just have to finish the counter tops and move all of the little stuff. I'm not looking forward to that part!:eek:
