Curious if anyone out there has tried the mini raised panel bit sets, I am interested in getting a set for whipping up some small xmas presents. I know CMT makes one that I saw a while ago, and I found a page saying that freud makes one (#97-904) but I can't seem to find that one for sale anywhere. Only have been able to find the CMT at a few places too, guess these aren't all that popular. The CMT was a bit pricey for the limited use I would get from them as well, wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper brand.

Appreciate any replies

Matt,
I can't speak for any mini cutters other than CMT. I purchased the set over two years ago and have used them for many projects. The rail and stile cutters are well matched and have held an excellent edge after much use. I personally like the back cutter on the panel bit. They have proven to be well worth the investment.

http://www.infinitytools.com/products.asp?dept=1103 You get the set for just under $80. I don't think that is a bad price, but you may think differently.
