Inspired by Chuck Stone's facial engraving on pens, I thought I'd see what all of us can do with the small scale stuff.

Here's my first attempt. Took about 3 minutes from the time I downloaded the photo to engraving it, so not much time invested, but the results were better than I expected.

It's black/white plastic.

Who's next?

Excellent, Scott! I can't wait to see little faces peeking out of Dave Fairfield's miniature windows now...:D

So by the way, what was your original size photo, how did you prepare the photo and what were the settings?

THANKS for posting, dee

Not sure Dee, I grabbed a photo from google just to try it. Not sure why "Pamela Anderson" came to my mind to search for :D

I ran it through 1-touch software, picked dark plastic, hit print, hit the green button and done.

I can check the settings for you later, but it didn't take much of an image.

Steve

Especially nice work on the Roosevelt image. What kind of machine did you use? :D

Surprising how much detail holds up!
You planning on spending Pam coins? :p

By the way .. you know I HAD to stop into the shop and
finish that pen, right?

Does this mountain make my butt look big?

Here's a picture of a spider and web that I just cut out of black and florescent acrylic. Those are some THIN spider legs!!!!!!

I'm impressed Steve - If I tried that I would be spending hours trying to glue the spider legs back together!

You did the legs?? They look like they're bent and the spider is stanging
up off of the web..

Steve
Those look great. A small amount of heat from a candle should let you bend the legs slightly.

Woh... I thought they were assembled, too. something about that first pic made them look really 3D.
