Anbody build their own belt sanding machine?

This may have been covered before but I am wondering if anyone has built thier own edge sander or verticle belt sander.

I was looking at belt sanders for doing stockwork. Grizzly has an edge sander that looks like it would work good but I would need to take the table off.

Just a thought.......
