I'm about to attempt to make a 6' extension for my PM3520 so I can turn some period correct porch posts for a couple of old Victorian homes in Cape May N.J. I tried searching but to no avail. It was made from channel iron if I remember correctly. I kinda remember someone here did it and was hoping to get some ideas before I start. Thanks in advance.

I remember one where the ways were made from 2X something, (8" or 10" I think) and had angle iron, screwed onto the top inside edge, don't have a link or where I saw it though.

My GI 25-650 has a 62" extension (telescopic adds another ~30"). The sub-bed is 2x4 I-beam.

Is this the one you're thinking of?
