as per the rules ( no pic it didn't happen )
I finally got the extension I've been wanting for my PM 3520.
So here's the proof. Also don't you just love the ribbons you can get hollowing with a sharp tool :)

Looks nice Joe and looks lik the piece you're working on is your usual scale :)

Clever way to get extra strength on the boring bar btw without incurring the extra cost of going with huge bar stock. Looks like that piece is, what, 18-20"?

Nice curlies!

Congrat's on finally getting your bed extension Joe! Now that is what I call a "real monster" hollowing rig. You've posted some beautiful and large HF's in the past and find myself anxious to see this one when done...Bill...

Go Guess Mike. It should be about a 19 1/2 " finished height.

Donny I'll try to post a finished pic when it's done but don't hold your breath. I still have pieces roughed out from 2008 I haven't finished yet.
I air dry my rough out turnings anywhere from 4 months to a year or more before I return and finish them.

I use a Rolly Munro fabricated to fit in my boring bar.
