wooden fence for miter saw on roll away

I have my 10" miter saw on a Craftsman roll away tool cabinet. A friend suggested I make a hinged folding fence with a folding support leg,,,,add a clamp stop and you will get very precise cuts. Sounds good to me.....anyone done something similar?

Do you have any pics of the arrangement? Not sure how it would be more precse then a fixed fence but not sure I can visualize it.
