Anyone know where I could get some Cumaru wood? Supposedly this wood is fire proof (or at least almost fireproof), it has a class A, rating similar to concrete and steel. I need it to turn some fittings for a smoker I am building.

Thanks for help,

Joel

Call ANM in Salt Lake. Talk to Gary Strang, he has some in stock and is good to work with.

Advantage Lumber (http://www.advantagelumber.com/)

If I remember correctly, this stuff smells awful though.

Rockler in Maplewood MN (Minneapolis) has cut offs @ $6.00 a board ft. They are 10-16" wide and a couple of feet long. I know the fellow that supplies them if you need something different.
