Eric,

Nice design and great looks. I built one for my contractor-type table saw a few years ago and can't believe that I ever lived without it. I like the way yours easily breaks down and takes up minimal space when folded up. I wish I had seen your before I built mine. Nice job!

Does anyone know which issue of WJ this was in?

Thanks, Ray

Ray,
The article was by Chris Marshall in the Jan-Feb 2009 issue.

Thanks for the compliments. This was in the Feb '09 issue. The top is made from 2 thicknesses of 3/4 mdf, topped with some plastic laminate I picked up from a cabinet shop closing its doors. I got two 5x10 sheets for $30. That will be making its way into a lot of shop projects! I guess I didn't choose the color, but it chose me, but I sure like it:D

I liked the design because it is fast to set up, fast to break down, and no adjustements to make if you move the saw.

Doug, Eric,

Thank you, I just ordered this back issue. I really like the looks of this table.

I've seen this in person. He did a great job on this. Wish I had room for one on my saw at home. We always have friendly rivalry's with our projects. He definitely one upped me this time. :p Good cigars last night Eric.

Aye, good cigars they were. :) But if for a minute anyone thinks I trumped you on any project, they haven't seen your work! IF we compete on anything, it is who has the biggest and best tools and with your recent gloats that is becoming increasingly harder to trump.

hummm, I was just in Tuscon two weeks ago. If I had known about this then maybe I could have seen it in person. We get down there quite often as we have a daughter in Chandler. Maybe next time:)

:p:p:p:p:D Thing is, we can use each others tools any time so it really just grows both our abilities.;) All in good fun. I still want a Grizzly bandsaw though.

Looks great. By coincidence I just made my own outfeedtable from SN article.
