This is my first time to ask questions, so I may not have the form right. If so, I apologize. I've been very lucky recently to have the opportunity to learn from a very experienced furniture maker. He introduced me to the use of a compass plane for making curved furniture parts (table aprons, etc.). I love this method, because it allows me to make mistakes much more slowly. :o. The question I have is where do you guys find tools like the Record 20 Compass plane I got to use yesterday? Thanks in advance! I look forward to hearing from you guys/gals.

I was able to find a Record 020 in VG condition on eBay for a pretty reasonable price.

I bought a Stanley #20 used, from Falcon-Wood Tools. Bit higher than I'd like to have paid, but in excellent shape. Check out whether you'd want the #20 design you've already had in your hands, or the #113's, as they're different animals that do the same work but in different adjusting methods to bend the sole of the plane.
