My wife who has become a great finder of turning wood, noticed some guys in a park cutting up an oak and talked them into putting a piece in the trunk, and this is the result. It ended up 10"x3", finished with oil and buffed, then ren wax. Thanks for looking.

Nice find!! And, a very nice bowl.

I need to get my wife paying more attention to possible wood finds, and less attention to quilting fabrics!!;)

Very nice Steve! I too need to get my wife looking for wood like that! Just curious is there a flat on the bottom or is it all round? Can't quite tell from the pics.

It is round and slightly concave, with all the grain it is hard to tell in the photo.
