Just wanted to share my latest project...an Asian inspired entertainment center. Sorry forgot to take a side shot, all the frame joinery is hand cut, wedged, through mortise and tenons. Wedges are Purpleheart, frame is Padauk, shelves and top are Cherry. The finish is a Hydrocote Resisthane Gloss, applied with an Earlex HVLP, in my makeshift spraybooth shown in the photo... Any thoughts or comments are always appreciated...

I think it look great.

The shelves and top are cherry? They look lighter than cherry?

Nice modern design Chris and blends with the speakers...

Thanks, I thought it blended well myself...I did the speakers about 8 years ago they have Jatoba faces with Hard maple sides and back, and Purpleheart tops, they probably need another coat of finish and some buffing now.

Phil...the cherry does appear very light, but I think that's mostly due to the contrast of woods and the fact that I used a clear, water based finish. The Hydrocote product does not tint the wood with any amber like coloration. Or it could just be the light from my camera flash...
