http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xqIvo8YeT8 tried this from corel to the laser ,also found that the red dot pointer was out and causing my engraves/cuts to be off a bit
Did some circles and now i feel its close ,almost right on .
Alos people were asking aboout how fine of a burn the laser can do

Stan, glad to hear that you found out that your red dot pointer was misaligned before it caused you some real damage.
I happened to do a train photo project this weekend as well, the etching that made the cut is long gone. However here are some that I made testing different settings.
I used photozoom, Corel, then PhotoGrave. it turned out ok considering that it started out as a 72 dpi 2x2 photo.

I am sure the photo turned out better than the engineers pants did on the day this derailment happened.

the last one looks good,i also did a pencil today and that impressed me as the lettering was 3/16 in high and legible
Getting the photo ready for photograv is a lot of trial and error
