great video. I had the chance to watch a knife maker's shop in action a few years ago. This family in Orlando, FL ... Randall made knives... I dont think they forge damascus steel , but they make one very fine blade. The last time I checked, the wait list was around four or five years :eek:.

Damascus steel is an amazing thing, that was really cool to watch! Definitely gives ya a new appreciation to the beating that poor guys wrists, elbows and shoulders take folding that steel... I wonder how many tons that hammer exerts? Imagine folding that steel by hand! he does it 400 times, many of the traditional sword makers in Japan folded the steel 1200 times, by hand :eek:. Amazing to see the dedication and pride a master craftsman has for his trade... Worth every penny, I have no doubt! Thanks for sharing!!!
