Crabapple crotch

Turned the crotch yesterday. Sap wood was very white so went with HF instead of OF. Little thicker then I would have liked but did not have my good hollowing mojo on & have blown apart apple when going thin in the past. Pics were taken after a quick dip in DNA started to dry when taking pics causing uneven color in pics. Back into DNA for a week & hope no cracks when drying. A little over 6in by a little under 3in, top about 3/16 lower about 3/8in

Looks pretty good! Nice curl on the bottom of the piece! Hope it makes it through the drying process as I would like to see it when finished!

That is going to be a good looking HF. I would wrap it in a brown grocery sack or a couple of layers of newpaper leaving a opening at the opening of the HF.
