Here is my latest box. I was toying with dyeing this one but the figure looked to good natural. So here are the stats 5.5" diameter, 2" tall, 10 hours turning fun, and a blo/friction polish finish.

Thanks for looking. As always C&C welcome.

Very nice piece, the woods go well together. I think it looks good the way it is without any dye.

Brian, good move not going with dye. I agree the woods look good together, and it is nice to see someone else that likes the wood combos!!;) Nice work!

Very nice work Brian! Great looking lidded box! Really like the last photo as it showcases both inside and out of the box!

Keep up the good work!

Very nice looking box. I agree with not going with the dye on this awesome looking wood. Great job!

Great looking box. There are a few character areas in the maple that seem to be the same color as the eucalyptus... That's pretty neat.

Really nice work. Good call on leaving it natural.

Nice work. I like it just the way it is. Out of curiosity, what color(s) were you considering if you were to dye it?

hey Jim,
I was going to do a red to yellow or natural fade. The red being on top. I'll probably do it on the next one.

Looks great just the way it is. I like the hidden contrasting inner lip ring (that's about the only lip ring I like:eek:).
