One of the chippers on my Freud dado broke. I mailed it back to them & asked them to repair or replace it. It is about 2 years old. They sent me a new chipper, no charge, no questions asked. Given the age of the chipper I expected to have to pay for it. Can't ask for better service than that.

That's why I buy nothing but Freud bits and blades.

I did too...orderd about a dozen shaper cutters from an online tool place which were then direct shipped from a freud distribution center. The distribution center actually called me to confirm I had the right rub collers as they did not go with the cutter I had ordered. So the freud distribution center fixed it and sent the right rub collers

All companies have failures. It's how many they have and what they do about them that really counts to me.

I just had a Freud 1/2" upcut spiral router bit fail me. I e-mailed the sales rep and a short time later I got a call from High Point, NC. I explained what had happened and they e-mailed me a UPS return label. Three days later I had a new bit.

My two cents.

I did see it. I sent my dado blade back last Monday and I'm waiting to hear if Freud is repairing it or replacing it.

I've had similar good customer service with Freud. I will continue to buy their products.
