Hello All,
I have a little part that I assume belongs to or is for a woodworking tool but have no idea myself what is is or belongs to. Anyone seen one of these before?
A friend of my daughters gave me a really nice Dremel model #1672 2-speed Scroll saw with stand, and this part was in a box with all the extra parts they sent along with the saw. After acquiring a user manual, as I suspected, this piece doesn't belong to the saw.
It seems to be a very well made machined part. The size is 3 1/4" wide x 1" x 3/4" deep/high. As you can see in the photo, it has three different sized v-grooves in the top(?) with another v-groove all the way through the center of equal size to the largest / center groove. It also has two hex-head machine screws threaded into it, and came with an Allen wrench that fits the hex heads.
Like I said, it seems to be well made, so I hate to throw it away. But without knowing what it is, it's of no use to me. I keep it sitting on my workbench thinking I'll come up with an idea of what it is, but so far, I've come up blank. It's really bugging me to know what it is!
I figured all the tool fanatics here on the forum may have run across one at some point in their woodworking endeavors. Anyone want to take a guess?
Thanks...Chugbug
