Drill Wizard Mod

I found that it was necessary to cut about 3/4" or so off the stem of my OneWay Drill Wizard in order to get a drill bit to drill on center. Now, I'm wondering, if I change to a OneWay banjo, have I done myself over - anyone know? Also, anyone else found this necessary?

I did the same thing to mine. I had to do that with my McNaughton post too. I only had to take off 1/2" at most from mine. I doubt you will run into trouble with it (you can usually raise the rest that far above center anyway), but if you do you just have to get another post. Unless you are frequently changing between multiple lathes, it shouldn't be an issue.
