At least that was the look I was going for. Did I achieve it?

Cherry crotch - 11 1/2" x 3 3/4" - AO and buffed.

It is really hard not to get hot spots when you buff them.

Please, I welcome all comments and criticisms.

beautiful wood, nice finish, the only thing I'd change is I'd lose the foot.

Toney,

I like the foot. Very distinguished, and your work is very nice, and you have a nice figured piece of wood.

I usually lean away from feet on pieces, but I really, really like it on this one. Great coloring and figure in that piece of wood. Nice photograph as well. Nice job.

Toney, the foot works on this one - very well in my opinion. Beautiful piece of cherry, and the black/dark background makes a great pic.

Very nice piece!

Toney, I love cherry and that piece has a nice color and the grain and little voids look great! I like the finish too.

Thanks for sharing,

Jeff

Toney,

I'm not sure exactly what a loving cup form is supposed to look like, but I really like this bowl. I don't usually put a foor on either, but sometimes as in this case it really works.

Really nice piece that would look great on my coffee table. However you probably don't want to give it away. Just a classic form from some very nice cherry. I believe you did good.

i like the foot, too - that's what distinguishes it from being a bowl - nice work.

Very nice work Toney. The form has a good flow to it. I like the subtle ogee towards the rim, just enough IMO. The cherry is great and the finish is equally great.
