Working on some sandblasted and laser engraved signs with a lot of hand painting and some vinyl on them. Normally I'd use the One-Shot U/V over it to protect the paint and the vinyl from being peeled by passers-by but it's expensive and requires getting out the spray gun. I happened to be at my local Fred Meyer which has an amazing Krylon selection and found something I hadn't seen before, Clear Polyurethane. It's supposed to be non-yellowing, dries in 15 minutes and made to go over any kind of paint. So I decided to make myself and this job a guinea pig. First I experimented with the same paint and vinyl to make sure there were no issues of lifting or melting, then went ahead and did the 3 signs.
Just finished the second coat, and will probably do one more. Seems to be fine so far, nice and hard, and really nice fine mist nozzle. Tomorrow I install the signs and will post pictures back on the original thread:
