Last week I went down to Kingsport Tennesee to visit some relatives. On the way back I to the scenic route through the timber. While in Kingsport I looked at the local CL and found some tools for sale. They were mostly power tools but as I picked up two handplanes the man said $5 each and I bought them. The first is a late model Stanley #5 1/4 jack plane with the kidney shaped hole in the chip breaker. It has painted handles. The second is a later model Monkey Wards that has plastic handles and I think was made by Millers Falls. Both have very long, good blades. I also bought 2 circular saw cutting guides for a friend of mine in Kentucky. On the way to my friend's house I stopped at a flea market at a wide spot in the road and for $10 picked up the unnamed scraper. It has a nice blade on it too.
