Here is a pic of the cedar I mentioned in an earlier reply.
There was also a 6ftx10" mulberry log and a partial birch log, which had split when it was cut, hoping to salvage it.
Cheri has been looking for some cedar for about a year, this should quell the thirst for about a month.

Some pretty wood there Jeff. Might want to get those ends sealed asap.

Anchorsealed already!
I buy the 5 gal pail so I always have plenty.
Cheri will make sure it gets turned before it has a chance to crack, she is a fanatic, LOL.

Congrats on the wood! Looks like it will have lots of color! Looking forward to seeing what it gets turned into!

Interesting wood to turn, though not my favorite. I found it beautiful, but prone to tear out.

Congrats on the find!

Does turning green cedar gum up your tools? Is it easier to wait for it to dry?

It does gum up the pants and shirts and hands a bit at first, but when you get it spinning......
I have not had a problem with cedar and tools though.
A bit of a pain to get out of clothes.
I was able to get one blank out of the birch and 3 bowl rough outs in mulberry.
