Angles???

I am looking for something to help set up accurate angles for segmenting cutting. Has anyone used these. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=17333&filter=segmenters%20angle%20sets or do you have something better??? Thanks.

John I use a dedicated sled to cut segments and a Wixey digital angle finder to set my saw blade for staves. The sled makes repeatability a breaze something those gizmos could never do.

i recently made a sled, and bought a magnetic 'angle box', whatever they are called, from Beall. haven't used them to make anything yet, though - waiting for nice weax.

They might give you a place to start, but they are not going to give you a perfect angle. Say your fence is off by .5 degree and the blocks DO give you a perfect angle. Your segments will still be off by .5 degree. There are so many variables, I would just make a dedicated sled for your particular saw. Also, I could see you using maybe 2 of the 7 blocks in the set. Who would make a 4 segment ring? YMMV
