So as y'all know last week I had some flat work drying in my shop so I couldn't turn. Well the cabinets are done and installed now so I got to get back to turning... and other dust making fun. So here are the latest completed projects

1. #1 Urn with stand. The urn is mahogany, poplar, buckeye burl and the rim is snake wood. The stand is ebony and snake wood.

2. "Tulip" a nice square bowl out of box elder.

3. "Pick pen" Amboyna burl, rosewood, ebony, fiddle back maple, and acrylic encased guitar pick. ...on a side note this is my first pen using the blo & CA finish.

I also turned a tool handle of sorts... I made a replacement part for my job-site miter saw, Sorry no pic right now but I'll take one and post it later.

As always comments or questions welcome/requested.
Thanks for looking

Brian

Very nice work, Brian! What are the dimensions on the urn? I like the stand arrangement, as well.

Very nice. Love the urn and base. Pen looks good for the first time using CA. When I first used it I needed some practice runs before I could get a good result. Well done.

Thanks John... the urn is 7" tall and 5" in diameter... with it on the stand its just about 10 1/2" tall.

I like your square bowls. Is the 4th one a Box Elder?

I love the color combination and form on the urn... The stand is beautiful as well. Nice job on the pen and box elder, but the urn is my pick.
