I've been looking around at portable compressors to run a nailer and stumbled across this at Lowes. Anyone have experience with the Porter Cable C3001?

Did I mention it was marked down from $247 down to $125? :)

Jim -

I have the pancake with the same compressor. Keeps up just fine with anything up to and including a framing nailer. $125 is a good price.

GLOAT ALERT

Jim -

Good move!!!! Good on you. Couldn't wait the thirty minutes or less for a reply?? :D :D :) :) Posted at 6:07 back and posted again at 6:52 (including purchase time in the store and posting time in the house). That's got to be some kind of record!! :)

Tyler/Chris - do we keep records on this, too?

Ted

The funny thing is, I even posted the same thing on my site right after here to get some quick feedback.

I just couldn't wait. :D

So far, I absolutely love it. It's exactly what I needed. I don't own a 60+ gallon unit in the garage yet, so I really couldn't justify spending much on a portable. Now I can focus on getting a nice large capacity unit sometime in 2005.
