Using my bandsaw to cut sealed blanks round has caused the blade to transfer some of the dried wax emulsion from the sealer to the tires. Does anyone have a good recommendation for safely cleaning the tires - remove the wax, but not harm the tire. I was thinking I'd just try soap and water with a toothbrush, but thought I'd ask here if there are better alternatives. Thanks!

I use 409 on rubber tape deck rollers and it makes them work like new.
I have had to replace bandsaw tires when they dry and crack.

I'm not sure mineral spirits will cut wax, but, that's what I use for normal build up.

Mineral spirits or DNA will work - DNA will work a little faster.

Gently scrape with edge of a piece of wood? Would hesitate to apply any chemical unless you are sure it will not degrade the tires.

I use a dull cabinet scraper to remove the wax turning by hand. Then give it a quick wipe with DNA.

I have a somewhat similar problem.

I am getting a lot of buildup of wet shavings from very green Bradford Pear on my 14" BS w/ riser. It has gotten so bad, the tracking threw off the blade. I have been scraping it periodically by hand with a scrap of wood. Any ideas for getting off the residue?
