Do drill guides fit cordless drills?

The drill guides for electric drills that I have used require that the chuck of the drill be removed from the drill and moved to the end of the shaft on the drill guide. Do such drill guides work with cordless drills? Is there a better type of guide?

I use a chuck permemantly mounted on the guide. Instead of threading the drill onto the guide, I take a 3/8" SAE (fine thread) bolt and cut the head off. Thread bolt into drill guide, and grip it with the chuck of the drill. You can purchase Jacobs brand keyless chucks at the borgs for about $20
