Hello all,

I've just moved into a new house, and am about to wire my garage/workshop. I want to prewire for a cyclone dust collection sysem (Oneida). How high up the wall should I put the power source? Should I put it on the ceiling? Does the dust collection system have a plug or is it hard wired?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a woodsucker mounted to the wall in my shop. I put a single switched 220V, 20A outlet 8' from the floor. Its not critical because you'll probably have to put a cord and plug on the motor so you have some leeway.

I have the outlet for my Oneida about a foot down from the top of the wall so it's convenient for the short cord I have off the motor. Exact placement is not all that important. If you are using a remote on-off system, just be sure the outlet is situated so you have room for the module to fit in the plug.
