Something a little different.
Cherry - 9 1/2" x 3 1/2" - AO and buffed. In the one picture the cherry looks a little blotchy but it is not that way in real life.
Turned from a single piece of cherry.
Yea right, it might be able to be done but not by me.

Very creative. I like the form and the finish looks great. If you hadn't told me it came from a single piece, I wouldn't have believed it! ;)

Toney, great work on this piece of art! My first impression from the first pic was that of an eagle swooping down with talons extended.
I guess the most impressive part is finding that one particular piece of wood that has the grain running in opposite directions from which you could create this "one piece" masterpiece!!:D;)
