tried a cherry cylinder 3.5 dia ,engraved a logo and design 2d ,truned out good 8.5 min

Nice work! But I don't understand what the word "indexer" means, as compared to rotary fixture.... can you please explain?

well maybe i have used the wrong terminology but the add on removes the cable from the y axis and this extra stepper drives a rotary axis like a lathe but operates a bit differnt as the work piece sits on top of 4 wheels that the stepper rotates.
I can send a photo of the rotary axis add on ,you place this on the table and its allows you to cut or engrave round objects to about 6in dia
