dowling machine fence

I recently bought a Ritter horizontal boring machine. I have pictures of the original type fence, and the one that came with the machine is a copy. It's pretty basic, and you basically eyeball a line to drill.

I would like to make up a nice table/fence for it, with stops for doweling face frames etc. I need to figure out how to make the two holes in the rail match the two holes in the stile. Eyeballing is not that accurate, at least for me.

Not wanting to reinvent something that exists, I wonder if anyone has made a setup that works well. If so, pictures would be appreciated.
