So many wood gloats aloft, gotta join in, even if it is a small one....
1. A three foot lemon tree someone left lying around on the ground for about six months. I cut it into sections and sealed. Rock hard! Holy contender? Some already began splitting length wise.
2. A large (green) eucalyptus branch I shoved into my back seat only to have an aching back for a day or two. Never again. In pic its already cut in three and then some.
3. An olive present from my neighbor was lying in front of my door this morning. Nice to have a gardner live nearby. If only olives had a round cross section...

Nice haul, and a bunch of turnings in that lot! The Eucalyptus should be very nice, though someone posted a lemon turning here a couple days ago, and it had a really nice color.

That's some nice looking wood. Is that spalting that has started?

Looks like it. The lemon has definitely been out there for a while. That resulted in fungi and cracking. Hope not too much of either.
