Try George Perzel here on the forum. He has several varieties. His is normally 5/32" thick but he may be able to do something for you.

Larry;
You may have some luck finding 1/8" cherry plywood that size but solid, stable, flat cherry of that size and thickness is very difficult to find if it exists at all.

Need 12 X24 sheets for business cards,

Larry,

Check with Dee, I think she uses some thin plywood for business cards sometimes. At least I think it is Dee, I am old, I forget stuff. :)

Might I suggest that you ask for material sizes that are closer to the card size? Like 2x24 for instance. 12" wide stock comes at a hefty premium, and you are just going to cut it up anyway. You can stack the narrow strips, and maybe with a couple dots of glue, and still run at 12" wide if you want to. The 2" will be so much flatter than the 12".

Try searching under Scroll Saw Wood. Sometimes it helps to use a different application in your searching. Stay away from wider pieces as they have a tendency to warp easily.

George is right however.....
if you are not looking for structural strength, then what you want is 2-ply wood-on-wood veneer. It is about 1/16 in thickness and is available in just about every type of wood. Costs $100-$150 per 4'x8' sheet which comes out to 16 1ft x2ft pieces. You will also have to buy or make some veneer softener and spend a day straightening out the rolled veneer.

An alternative is to buy one ply veneer and use contact cement or cold press veneer glue (available at woodcraft) to make your own plywood.

The last alternative is, if you are ok with birch instead of cherry. Finnish birch is available in 1/16. It vector cuts well but be prepared to go very slow to make good rasters.

ps - I use maple exclusively for my cards because of how well and how quickly it rasters.

If you're not stuck on 3/32, you can get 2 ply cherry veneer .025" thick up to 11" x 17" or 23" x 23" from Cards of Wood at http://www.cardsofwood.com/veneers.htm

I use their precut cards for my business cards and have always been happy with the quality.
