This is a bowl I was working on today. I cut the side off of a burned cherry stump.
I think i can fix it tho. I have a video of it on the lathe... lets see if i can past the link here.

Eric - interesting chunk of Cherry! Looking forward to seeing it turned!

Looks like a lot of color and character in that chunk of wood... I'm not a facebooker, so I'll have to wait on photos of the finished piece.

Don't forget to put on all your armor! Duct tape could help, too. :)

All armored up teeth clinched bowl gouge in hand. Sanded it to 120 then i gave it a coat of Danish Oil.
It has just a little to much burnt area on the back for me so i may hit that with a wire brush clean it up a little after it drys i'll finish sanding then one more bath in Danish Oil and off to the the buffer.

Oh i almost for got it's 10"wide by 3-3/4" tall
